Opportunities arise unannounced. They don’t ring a bell. They just show up and we need to be ready to take advantage of them.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to interview for a job at a local TV station. Walking into the building, I felt nerves similar to the ones I’d catch sitting on the starting line waiting for my dirt bike race to start. I remembered my dad telling me to take a few deep breaths, hoping that would calm me down so I wouldn’t lose the egg sandwich I’d scarfed just a few minutes before. Then, after the horn sounded, I’d take off, adrenaline replacing the butterflies, and forget ever feeling nervous at all.
So, after introducing myself to the receptionist at the station, I took a seat in the waiting area, anxiously thumbing through a magazine while waiting for the supervisor. It felt like hours (merely minutes) before he walked out and introduced himself with a smile and a handshake. Then, he escorted me behind the scenes of the studio and into a small office where, upon taking our seats, I leaned forward, just like in racing, the butterflies escaped me and my eyes widened with interest. I was ready.

Lots of action!
An opportunity at every turn. Like the pictures, love tge parallel story. Hope you got the job!
Very cool pics! It must have been very difficult taking these shots because the bikes were fast-moving… but still the one who photographed got good angles!
Hope you were hired!
